About the Fund
In emerging economies across Asia Pacific, women in small businesses struggle to access finance. The award-winning Good Return Impact Investment Fund unlocks capital for these enterprises to drive resilient growth, employment and greater gender equality. In the past three years, the fund has provided $5.05m in loans to 602 businesses, with 90% of the loans going to women.
With the continued threat of poverty and climate change for people in our region, the need for social purpose and private sectors to join forces to tackle these issues through innovative financial mechanisms is more urgent than ever.
Join us at this event and hear about our plans to take our impact even further with the new fund.
Guest speaker: Diana Tjoeng
Diana has seen first-hand the impact of Good Return's impact investment fund, and will share her experiences meeting the women entrepreneurs growing their businesses and family livelihoods. She will highlight our vision for our second Fund, which will drive change within the financial sector and push for greater inclusion of vulnerable people.
Guest speaker: Angus Kathage
Angus is a private sector development specialist at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Angus will discuss the government's focus on blended finance in Australia's regional development programs, and his experience in making sure private investment flows to where it can have a positive impact in our region.
