About the Fund

Good Return's first fund has exceeded expectations, providing $5.05 million in loans to entrepreneurs across the Asia Pacific, with 90% going to women. We saw first-hand the powerful ripple effects that come with supporting women in business - fostering economic growth, job creation, and community development.

The launch of our second Fund comes at a time when climate change and instability are reshaping our region. We invite you to find out more about how socially-driven investments like ours will help businesses build resilience and adapt to evolving environmental challenges.

Guest speaker:
Peter McMullin AM

Peter McMullin AM is the Founder and Chair of The Good Business Foundation, a progressive Foundation looking at engaging business in social good. Peter will talk about why he chooses to focus on empowering women entrepreneurs and business owners in our region, and his experience being an investor in Good Return's first impact investment fund.

Guest speaker: Caroline Scott

Caroline Scott is the Director of the Blended Finance and Investor Engagement Unit at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Caroline will discuss DFAT's impact first approach to blended finance, and how the organisation is working with the private and social purpose sectors to drive catalytic capital towards sustainable development in our region.

Guest speaker:
Diana Tjoeng

Diana Tjoeng, Good Return's Head of Asia & Impact Investments, will discuss the social impact goals of the new fund and share her firsthand experiences meeting women loan recipients. She will highlight how access to capital has not only strengthened their businesses and livelihoods but also empowered their self-belief and confidence. Diana will also explore the crucial role of this funding mechanism in enabling technical assistance, driving meaningful change within the financial sector across our region.
