Carmen spent 7 years starting and growing a material aid charity in NSW. The Generous and the Grateful turned shelter into home for thousands at risk of, or recovering from, homelessness so they could recover and lead the life they wish from the comfort and safety a true home provides. Beds, fridges, washers and sofas are impossible with money mates and muscle so their team brought them all together through partnerships with hotels and businesses, and caseworkers at well known frontline agencies. She is a photographer and keen traveller off the beaten track, as well as a proud mum of both humans and hounds. Carmen enjoys devising long lasting partnerships rich with value for all parties, matching the impact of non profit organisations to the goals and commitments of businesses who also want to make the world a better place and show their staff and clients how they operate.
